Two updates to this newsletter after printing!
Regarding the McGarrity ExpenseGate issue, I just received a call from the Detective at the Delaware County District Attorney's office, and I again provided the requested information, specifically the campaign fliers issued by McGarrity that use his Township-reimbursed phone number.
And on that topic, I wrote in this newsletter that there was a McGarrity campaign flier that was distributed in September that used a different phone number. A new flier, marked Paid for by McGarrity for Commissioner, was recently distributed that goes back to using the same phone number.

Why I’m running for 7th Ward
Haverford Township Commissioner:
I sat in the audience at the Haverford Township Commissioners meeting in January for the first reading of the proposed anti-discrimination ordinance and watched the current 7th Ward Commissioner Jim McGarrity do everything he could to try to stop this ordinance.
Watching this re-affirmed my conviction that we need better representation in the 7th Ward.
I'm 100% in favor of this action, and I hope you are with me in backing this important protection of civil rights.
The anti-discrimination ordinance did pass at its second and final reading in February. If elected, I will make sure this ordinance stays on the books and benefits our citizens.
Haverford Township is a good place to live right
now, and I believe it can be even better.
With your support, I would help make that
happen. I bring new ideas, new enthusiasm,
and a can-do attitude.
I believe that a Haverford Township Commissioner
has three main jobs - Planning, Fiscal Oversight
and Constituent Services. I
believe I am the most capable and qualified
candidate to do these tasks. But even
more importantly, I will do the job of
Commissioner with a spirit of community service.
I will work for a comprehensive master
plan and fiscal responsibility for our Township.
I will fight against corruption, waste, and
"business-as-usual".
- Larry Chrzan
Plan - for Now and for the Future
Haverford Township desperately needs to create
and execute short and long term plans to
guide its direction and fully realize its
potential. Haverford is a good place to live.
But it could be even better with a comprehensive
strategic plan to effectively create the
township we want to live in. There has not
been a comprehensive plan for Haverford Township
since the 1980s! There have been efforts recently to move ahead with this, but the plan must be executed.
Fiscal Oversight - Use Your Tax Dollars Effectively
Every hard-earned dollar that we pay to our
township must be used effectively and
efficiently. Financial oversight along with
improvements in management, investments,
services and technology will bring that
efficiency. Haverford Township must be run like
the $30+ million business that it is, without
having the taxpayers pay the cost of
inefficiency year after year.
End "Business-as-Usual" - Cronyism, Favoritism and "Pay-to-Play"
I'm the ONLY candidate in this
election for 7th Ward Commissioner who does not
take contributions from people who do business
with Haverford Township, and I never will.
When it comes time to vote on a contract, I am
the ONLY candidate who represents ONLY the
taxpayers of the Township, not contributors or
political machines.
It is
time for commissioners to take politics out of
township services and stay out of the day-to-day
running of the township business - favoritism
and cronyism cost the taxpayers’ money!
